If you’re buying or renting movies, you’ll notice the difference between the two resolutions. Typically, HD is higher in quality than SD, with 720p and 1080p being the most common.
While it’s not always the case, you should opt for HD whenever possible. That’s especially true if you have an HDTV and can take advantage of the additional detail that can be seen in full HD.
